We purchased our Son of Hibachi™ in 1979 because the name was so much fun I wanted to have one. I had no idea we would have two and still be using them in 2010! We have purchased the griddle plate and replaced parts we have worn out or the kids lost when they camped with them, but the main units have NEVER worn out. The snuff pouches are the best and make the grill safe while it cools down and saves charcoal. There are plenty of grills out there, but no other portable grill lasts as long, cooks as well, heats as fast, saves your charcoal, transports as clean and easy or has such a cool name. I recently ordered the Son of a Hibachi™ and received my order promptly. I was impressed with the packaging of the grill. Then I used the grill, and it was exactly as advertised. What a great little product you have. My reason for selecting your Son of a Hibachi™ was for my Truck Camper. I needed something small but big enough to prepare food for four people. The grill also had to be stored in the camper without creating a big mess and smelling up the living space. The fact that you could put it away hot is just a big plus. I'm going to send as much business your way as I can because it creates a stir where ever it goes. Seldom if ever, does a product live up to its hype, your product is as advertised and more. I am not easily impressed, I am glad to see a honest product offered at a fair price and shipped quickly and packaged to prevent any damage. I got my Son of Hibachi™ grill. Ordered it before noon one day, recieved it by noon the next. Grilled up some thick New York steaks!!! Absolutely awesome little grill. We also picked up the optional flat surface plates to make pancakes, or grilled cheese sandwiches on. This is going to come in handy for those boat trips at the lake. First off, I have to say how thrilled I am about the Son of Hibachi™ I purchased a little while back. Admittedly, I was very skeptical but I had to give it a try. I live in an apartment and we have very strict fire laws in the state so finding a smart solution for grilling was main concern. I ordered the Son of Hibachi™ and followed the directions and kept my fingers crossed. After I lit the starter fire in the ash drawer I waited and was thrilled at the results. I have been grilling between 3-4 times a week over the summer. I'm able to eat meat again!!! Steaks are awesome, chicken is great, even my girlfriend was impressed, not an easy task gentlemen. Thanks again for creating one awesome product.

We have used a Son of Hibachi™ in our family for 22 years. It is the only way to grill. Until now we have passed it around to each family member as they need it. Today I am ordering my own Son of Hibachi™ so that we can get our 22 year old model back to the relatives who need it. I just received my Son of Hibachi™ today and was so excited to find that it is EXACTLY like the one I had back in the day in the 70's - same weight and design. I took my SOH everywhere to the beach, mountains, car races, boat races, concerts, parks and other people's bbq's. I used it at home all the time. I fed so many people and everyone loved it. It never failed and it always worked. Moving around alot in those days, I lost my original somehow. Since then, I've always wished I could find another. Now it's back and I'm so glad it hasn't changed a bit. I'm going to make my trusty Trader Vic's marinade for some ribs, put on some deja vu music and go back to 1975 tonight!
